I have been busy with school so have been away from the blog! But a great Spring Vacation has brought me back! Here is what I saw on my vacation ! You guessed it! Giant reptiles! It's the American Alligator! These were in an enclosed pool, and were sitting so still on the rock we did not think they were real! They would sit for hours with their mouth wide open!

Look near the yellow minnow bucket and you can see the alligator!

Notice the boat picture, the alligator has climbed in! I will always be watching over the side of our boat from now on!  There were also large bass swimming in the water- evidence of the food chain!
It was very interesting watching these large reptiles as they used their adaptations to maneuver in the lagoon.The large alligators would freeze just under the water and their heads looked just like a rock in the water! Camouflage! Yikes! Don't step on the rocks to get across the water!
