I have stumbled upon a great app for doing simple experiments at home with things you have on hand. It even lets you check off what you have in the kitchen then tells you an experiment to do.How easy is that? The app is free but if you want demonstration videos instead of just a lab "recipe" you can upgrade for a few more dollars.
I haven't had time to try this out , so let me know what experiment you try and how it works!
Just get mom or dad to sign up for a google account if they do not have one and you can write me comments!
Here is the app -KidScience from the AppStore
If you do not have ability to get the app remember you can go to older posts on this blog and I listed websites that have many experiments that are fun!
Keep checking the blog, I'll add more in a few days!

Happy Summer!
Hi to all my Scientists!
Summer is here and time to explore your world!
If you are new to my blog this summer, take time and go back and read past posts!
Today I want to show you a cool frog, my neighbor found in his pool. It is not like any frog I have ever found ! If you can research it and find out what kind of frog he is let me know !
I can tell by his physical properties(characteristics),. he is an amphibian!
His color is dark black and his skin is very smooth and does not have scales . He feels (texture) just like those soft rubber stretchy toy frogs! His hind legs are long for jumping and his feet are semi- webbed for swimming ! Do you think he looked like a frog when he was first born? If you said no, you are right ! All frogs start out as tadpoles then become froglets then frogs ! Wow what a metamorphosis!
I will observe my new found frog for a little while then set it free back to its habitat ! It needs food and shelter to live. But watch out for those predators! My frog probably considers me his predator right now! So I think I'll go find a safe environment to release him.
Observe your environment on these summer days and see what you can find. Remember don't touch without adult permission !
Definition of a scientist: Someone who
observes the world around them and questions how this world works!
You can be a Scientist everyday!
